VR - Virtual Reality Salesmen - Avatar eEducation Teachers and Other Technological Advances

By Lance Winslow

You might be pleasantly surprised at the rapid advances in technology in the Virtual Reality World. Not only are such things as Life II capturing the imaginations of their users, but software VR engineers are learning how humans wish to operate in virtual worlds. These observations are helping VR entrepreneurs drive new and much needed applications.

Things such as virtual salesmen for websites or easily downloaded interactive videos also make sense. In fact, in reviewing on fast moving UK Virtual World company; I was very much impressed with what they have done with a Salesman VR program there. The amount of travel time and costs will help with company budgets and increase the efficiency and profitability of the company and the buyer will also realize lower costs, while both can work on a faster timeline.

Of course these advances in the business world can also be relevant to the scientific world as well. For instance they can also be used for scientific seminars that come alive. It is well known that retention of information is increased through visual participation as opposed to audio or reading alone.

Therefore the retention will be up to 75% by the participants. This is because one will be using all senses EOX (surround-a-sound), haptics (sense of touch via AI computer exploits), interaction, etc. And I am very comfortable with the savings in Travel; Time, Money, hassle or getting pass ports. There are other considerations as well such as no worry about spreading pandemics (Bird Flu) and polluting from the excessive traveling.

Perhaps pollution credits for Global Warming CO2 emissions initiatives might be a way to fund more VR programs. I like the CO2 Credits concept for using VR rather than traveling for no real reason, but the Travel industry will hate it. Well, I say to that free-markets require innovation and they ought to join you in funding to protect their companies.

There will also be uses in entertainment and we already see the rising demand for Virtual Sex via 3D VR and Augmented Reality with the latest innovations in haptics. That seems like a natural "first usage" knowing humans and their earthly desires. Entertainment of that type is always a high priority on Maslow's hierarchy of needs it seems? This will prevent venereal diseases too and the spread of AIDS. Virtual Reality is on its way and it is a fast mover and a technology to watch.

Someday the real world and the VR World may all be a blur. I certainly hope this article is of interest and that is has propelled thought. The goal is simple; to help you in your quest to be the best in 2007. I thank you for reading my many articles on diverse subjects, which interest you.
