Microsoft Great Plains, or its new brand name within Microsoft Dynamics products family – Microsoft Dynamics GP is one of the leading ERP packages, where Microsoft Office/Outlook integration is very robust and advanced. In this small article we would like to highlight for you Microsoft GP implementation, customization, reporting, Dexterity, eConnect integrations development. Microsoft Great Plains technology highlights:
• eConnect. As successor of Microsoft Dexterity, eConnect offers ecommerce developers the key to GP objects realm. eConnect can create / move Sales Order Processing documents from your website to GP as well as integrate your purchasing business partners by moving POs. eConnect provides interfaces to the majority of GP objects, with exception to seldom used modules, such as Invoicing for example
• GP Business Portal. Web based interface, as you probably know large MRP applications, such as Oracle eBusiness Suite, Microsoft Dynamics CRM are moving toward web interface. • Microsoft Dexterity. This is the heart of old Great Plains Dynamics / eEnterprise / Dynamics C/S+ ERP software. Dexterity source code programming assumes that your developers have been trained to lookup and deploy DINAMICS.DIC dexterity sanscript code. This technology allows you to modify “fat” client logic, plus it is still in control of SQL Server database “service logic”, such as DEX_ROW_ID columns |
