How To Put Music On The PSP

By Zachary Scott

Do you want to put some music on the PSP? It is an easy process, once you know how to. I will discuss here simply how to do this, since I have helped many of my friends do it, I thought to myself there must be a lot of people that want to know.

Here is how to easily take the music files on your computer and move them to your PSP. Follow my step-by-step information and turn your PSP into a portable boombox!

First you will need a PSP video converter which you can easily find with the help of a search engine. You could also obtain a CD ripper, which you can also find with any search engine. This software will permit your PSP handheld to play the music you want to hear and also play the videos you want.

Next you will need to convert all of your intended audio files from there original format to mp3 format, if that is not there case. This is what your CD Ripper software is for. Some cd-burning software allows you to do this also.

You can also use the PSP video converter to convert your cd files to MP3 format AKA PSP Audio Format.

The PSP reads mp3 format files natively therefore you can copy your mp3 files either to a memory stick or to your PSP.

Once the memory stick or PSP connected, you will get an extra drive on your computer. In my case it is the J: drive. Copy the audio files in the MUSIC folder which resides in the PSP folder (J:/PSP/MUSIC).
